The Planning, Building & Safety, and Engineering departments work together in the physical development of the City of Turlock. Whether it is the building of new homes, a new shopping center, constructing new roads or repairing old ones, and other public infrastructure projects the Development Services Division works together to protect the public's health, safety and welfare.

For projects like developing a piece of property or adding on to your home, we offer a predevelopment meeting to help identify all important issues of your project.

One time charges applied to new development, redevelopment, expansions and tenant improvements depending on the proposed use.

As of June 30, 2017 the City of Turlock will no longer be collecting school fees on the behalf of Turlock Unified School District. Please contact TUSD (https://www.turlock.k12.ca.us/) for questions regarding fees and payments.

City Hall will be closed on Monday, May 29th for Memorial Day, when we recognize the men and women of the United States military that gave their lives in service to their country. Normal services will resume the following day.
