City Parks

Bike Park


The City of Turlock BMX Bike Park is located at 4013 N. Walnut Ave., in the northwest corner of the Walnut/Christoffersen Storm Basin. The park requires helmets, knee and elbow pads. Park hours of operation are 3:45 p.m. to sunset Mon - Fri year round, and 8:00 a.m. to sunset on weekends (weather permitting). Summer & holiday hours are 8:00 am to sunset (weather permitting).


Brad Bates Park


Located on the west side of the Turlock Regional Sports Complex. This park offers a swing set area, large modular playground area, individual picnic areas, ADA compliant drinking fountain, benches, receptacles, security lights, half court basketball area, shade trees, small open space area, perimeter and interior sidewalks, and a park identification sign.

Brandon Koch Memorial Skate Park


This park offers 28 skating elements, an ADA compliant drinking fountain, park identification sign, security lights, security camera, shade trees, benches, a picnic area, portable restroom, and trash receptacles.


Bristol Park


This park offers a half court basketball area, a large playground area, an ADA compliant drinking fountain, park benches, perimeter sidewalks, several trees and small open spaces for play, and a park identification sign.

Broadway Park


This park offers a half court basketball area, a large playground area, an ADA compliant drinking fountain, park benches, a large covered picnic area with barbeques, several small picnic areas with barbeques, perimeter sidewalks, large shade trees, a water spray feature, and a park identification sign.

Central Park


This park offers a few park benches, an ADA compliant drinking fountain, and large shade trees. This park serves as a lay over site for the County Bus System and also serves as the site for the Chamber of Commerce Building.


Christoffersen Park/Basin


This park offers a large playground area, an ADA compliant drinking fountain, park benches, picnic areas with barbeques, several shade trees, perimeter sidewalks, and 2 very large open space areas for play. This park also serves as a storm basin.

Columbia Park


This park offers 2 large ADA complaint covered picnic areas with barbeques, a large playground area, and an ADA compliant drinking fountain, park benches, several small picnic areas with barbeques, perimeter and interior sidewalks, security lighting, large shade trees, horseshoe pits, 2 full size basketball courts, a multi-purpose court with soccer goals, a community building, and a community swimming pool.

Crane Park


This park is one of the City’s oldest and most popular parks. The very large shade trees that cover the entire park offer a safe haven from the valley’s high summer temperatures. The park offers a new very large playground area, ADA drinking compliant fountain, 2 tennis courts, which will be resurfaced in the spring of 2008, 10 newly renovated horseshoe pits, a restroom facility, which will be replaced with a new modular building in the summer of 2008, a half court basketball area, perimeter sidewalks, security lighting, several large and small picnic areas with barbeques, which can be reserved, open spaces for play, mature large shade trees and a park identification sign. The playground is scheduled to be renovated in the 2007/2008 fiscal year.

Curt Andre Park


Located on the east side of the Turlock Regional Sports Complex. This park offers a swing set area, 2 sand volleyball courts, shade trees, small open space areas, benches, and receptacles. Once competed this park will also offer a large covered picnic area with barbeques, picnic tables, receptacles, food prep table, individual picnic areas, an ADA compliant drinking fountain, perimeter and interior sidewalks, and a park identification sign.

Dale Pinkney Park


This is a newly developed neighborhood park. To date it has been completed through phase 1, which includes turf, irrigation, and a playground pit for future playground equipment. Once fully developed this park will also include a covered picnic area with picnic tables, barbeques, receptacles, ADA drinking fountain, benches, security lighting, shade trees for the entire park, and a park identification sign


Denair Park


This park offers 1 picnic area, park benches, perimeter sidewalks, security lighting, large mature shade trees, small open spaces for play, 2 bay swingset area, and a park identification sign. This park is more of a passive park for leisure activity.


Donnelly Park


Donnelly Park, which was opened to the public in 1974, is the City of Turlock's premier community park. Donnelly Park is a 40-acre site, covering one square mile and includes a 10-acre man-made a storm basin.

Donnelly Park wooden play structure will be closed Oct 30 - Nov 4 for re-sealing.

Markley Park


This park offers a large open space for play, large playground area, covered picnic area with barbeques, park benches, full size basketball court area, ADA compliant drinking fountain, several shade trees, security lighting, and a park identification sign. This park also serves as a storm basin.

Pedretti Park


Built in 1977 as a community project, Pedretti Sports Complex offers a host of recreational and sports facilities. This facility includes four softball fields, a hardball field, three grass volleyball courts, a concession stand, covered bleachers, ADA compliant drinking fountains, picnic areas, a large covered picnic area, which can be reserved for special events, a fully accessible tot playground area, hundreds of shade trees and two parking lots. This facility offers the best of both worlds with the well maintained playing fields and the park-like setting with the many trees, picnic areas and playground area. Pedretti Sports Complex is one of the most utilized parks in the City of Turlock parks system.

Quaile Rand Norton Park


This park offers a large playground area, large shade trees, park benches, small picnic areas with barbeques, an ADA compliant drinking fountain, security lighting, a parking lot, and a restroom facility. This park also serves as a storm basin.

Regional Sports Complex


The Gemperle Fields at Turlock Regional Sports Complex opened in September 2002. The Sports Complex is one of the premier complexes in the region. The 14 soccer fields are being used by Turlock Youth Soccer Association and is the site for many state tournaments.

Rotary International Park


This park offers a half court basketball area, a large playground area, security lighting, an ADA compliant drinking fountain, park benches, several picnic areas with barbeques, a small covered picnic area, perimeter sidewalks, several shade trees, a large open space for play, and a park identification. This park was once identified as Gettysburg Park. This park also serves as a storm basin.

Soderquist Ballfield


This park offers a ballfield for Little League play, a large parking area, large shade trees, and a small open space for play.

Summerfaire Park


This park offers a very large expanse of open space for play, large playground area with barbeques, several small picnic areas with barbeques, park benches, an ADA compliant drinking fountain, shade trees, and perimeter sidewalks. This park also serves as a storm basin.

Swanson-Centennial Park


This park is currently under construction, but once completed will offer a large playground area, security lights, ADA compliant drinking fountain, perimeter and interior sidewalks, a covered picnic area with picnic tables, receptacles, food prep table, barbeques, individual picnic areas, half court basketball area, benches, open space areas, shade trees, park identification sign, and Centennial Celebration Memorial.


Tot Lot


This park is considered a pocket park and offers a swingset area, security lighting, a perimeter sidewalk, a small basketball court, park benches, and a small open space for play.
