Fire Department
The firefighting professionals and staff of the Turlock Fire Department (TFD) are proud to serve the citizens of the City of Turlock in Stanislaus County. Turlock is geographically located in the center of the San Joaquin Valley of California. It is the second largest City in Stanislaus County and is located along the Highway 99 corridor.

Responding to approximately 7,000 calls for service each year (from 4 Fire Stations), TFD is a high-performance fire department. In terms of critical infrastructure, TFD is the emergency service provider for a number of high-hazard occupancies, including commercial processing facilities; 1 hospital with an emergency department; the Stanislaus County Fair Grounds; and California State University Stanislaus, with a student population of more than 9,000 on a 228-acre campus.

Yesterday, at approximately 12:12 pm multiple Turlock Fire units responded to the report of a grass fire in the Lander/Linwood area. At the same time Turlock Rural Fire Department responded to a potential structure fire in the same area. Both responding departments found the fires to be one and the same. First arriving crews found a grass fire that extended into multiple vehicles, an RV, and an outbuilding in the 200 block of Montana Ave. The fire was upgraded to a working fire response which brought the rest of Turlocks fire units and MST resources as well as 2 division chiefs.

Earlier this evening at approximately 5:05 pm, all Turlock Fire units responded to a working structure fire in the 1600 block of Joett Dr. First arriving crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from the garage and extending into the interior of the home.

Turlock Fire Department responded to a total of 54 incidents yesterday on 7/4. There were 17 fires which included 6 vegetation fires, 8 trash or dumpster fires, 2 vehicle fires, and 1 fence fire.

Today at approximately 11:41 am, all Turlock Fire units responded to a working structure fire in the 1500 block of E Monte Vista Ave. First arriving crews found an exterior fire that extended into a detached garage as well as a roof fire .
