Turlock Recreation Services strengthens the community's fabric, health and well being, economic base and security. Through the years, the Turlock community has valued neighborhoods, natural places where they can relax, walk, recreate and enjoy family time. Through quality programing and implementation, Recreation Services provides safe, supervised activities residents of all ages.

Families and individuals of all ages have the opportunity to enhance their lives by participating in Fitness programs, Sports activities, Family Events, Community Traditions, Arts, Social and Educational Activities and a wide range of enrichment classes.

We are located at 144 S. Broadway. Our normal office hours are Monday - Friday, 12PM - 5PM. You can contact us by phone at (209) 668-5594 or by email at recreation@turlock.ca.us.

COMMUNITY PASS

AQUATICS & SWIMMING
Fun filled classes including dance, self-defense, fitness, and babysitting.

Learn about our public pools and aquatic playgrounds, junior lifeguard program, water polo, swim lessons, and lap swim.

COMMUNITY EVENTS
Become a coach or instructor, join our Teen Advisory Council, or learn about jobs with the Recreation division.

Learn about our annual Turkey Trot Run and downtown Christmas parade.

Due to current budget constraints and the affected staffing levels, the current status of maintenance around Turlock will see an impact. We may no longer be able to quickly respond to maintenance related requests unless it is an immediate hazard to the public. All maintenance requests are prioritized based on the nature of the work and the risk to the public. We will continue to prioritize immediate hazards and address all other maintenance related issues as resources allow.

Please be advised, W. Linwood will be closed to traffic, Tuesday, August 20th and Wednesday, August 21st between 8 AM and 2 PM. Street maintenance crews will be repairing numerous pot holes between Walnut Rd. and Tegner Rd. Emergency vehicles will continue to have access. Columbia Pool is currently CLOSED.

If you are enrolled in Session 4 Swim Lessons: Lessons are cancelled today 7/31 and tomorrow 8/1. Refunds will be issued for the two days. Please go to the pool on 8/1 at your lesson time to receive your child's report card.

Rec Swim is cancelled on 7/31, 8/1, 8/3 & 8/4.

Due to a reduction in Parks maintenance staffing levels, the park mowing schedule has changed. It is our goal that Broadway Park, Columbia Park, Crane Park and Donnelly Park be mowed every two weeks. All other parks will be mowed on a 3-week rotation. This schedule is subject to change, depending on workload and equipment status. Other park maintenance requests may be delayed due to reduced staffing as well. Staffing levels may also affect our response to irrigation issues in our parks. You may see some dry spots depending on how quickly we can make the necessary repairs. We appreciate your patience and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
